Castle Geverkenegg Ljubljana Geverkenegg Castle - is the only surviving feudal castle in Slovenia. It was built at the beginning of the XVI century and served as the administrative center of the mine mercury mine for over 400 years. In the middle of the XVIII century the castle was reconstructed in the Renaissance style. Its interior was decorated with beautiful frescoes.

To date, the castle houses a museum, which exhibits the extraction of mercury, handmade lace, peasant frescoes, a collection of paintings, which was donated by Valentin Orsini Mazza. Some of the castle converted into a hotel where everyone can stay. Throughout the summer season, the museum organizes themed evenings, concerts and events that are of interest to all tourists.
