Raymond Burr born in 1917 in New Westminster, BC. As a youngster, his family moved to China. When the family returned to Canada, his parents separated. He and his mother moved to Vallejo, CA, where she raised him with the aid of her parents. Burr began to take jobs to support his mother, younger sister and brother. Burr served in World War II.
