Finally finished working on this ribbed form in black stoneware. I find black clay quite challenging to work with ... it seems quite dry and brittle to begin with and then the minute I start using tools it starts to resemble chocolate mousse. I end up having to leave it to dry out for ages and then suddenly it takes me by surprise and sets like concrete. Is it just me that has these problems?
